RANDOM WIND Paradise Day Sail

Full Description: Random Wind is a traditional 54 foot long, ketch-rigged sailing clipper that is very well maintained. She circum-navigated the world twice and then hoped to find retirement in St Maarten. Wrong! People love her so much that we started to get lots of requests to take her out for the day. And so it started, bit by bit, that after some years we were doing 4 - 5 charters each week and sharing great sories with the guests who often become friends.

Random Wind offers a lot of shaded and uncovered deck space that is nicely covered with custom cushions and the sea-railings are made of solid stainless steel so there's a ton of space to sit, lie-down, hang on and of course, relax above deck. The inside of the boat is very comfortable with large bathrooms and changing rooms, salon, a large galley and two beautiful state rooms.

We cater to everyone's needs when it comes to food and beverage. There is an open bar stocked with beers, sodas, liquors and bottled water. Tuna and egg salads and other crispy bites are provided in the morning for snacks and you will enjoy a great Caribbean-style lunch during our second stop. These will keep you satisfied during the day and later in the afternoon you can indulge in some chocolate bites. Random Wind carries a crew of two - one captain and one hostess

PARADISE DAY SAIL - Join us aboard Random Wind for a very enjoyable and calm daysail to the French side of the island. We stop and anchor in numerous bays, letting you experience the best in sailing, snorkeling, good time lazin, beaching and coastal sight seeing. Enjoy breakfast, delicious snacks, a delightful homemade Caribbean-inspired lunch and an open bar all day long! GUIDED WAVE RUNNER AND SNORKEL TOUR

Full Description: The excursions start at Coki Bay, where you will be instructed in all operations and controls of the Wave Runner and fitted with life vest.

From here we depart on a guided tour along the coast and into the famous Pillsbury Sound where we take in the sites of St.Johns and Red Hook. We then head back and pull into one of the most gorgeous secluded beachs you have ever seen (Accessible only by boat), upon arriving we snorkel on the colorful reef just off shore!

Then we jet across the sound to Thatch Key where we will take in the sites of this uninhabited spit of land, with its rocky coast line and caves. As we reach the end of Thatch Key, where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic, you will marvel at the beautiful Down Island view where you will see countless islands.

Then its back across the sound,we cruise the St. Thomas shore line past Coki Beach and Coral world, winding back at Sugar Bay. This excursion will take you away from the crowds, allow you to visit unexplored places and will add plenty of excitement to your Caribbean Cruise.

Total Tour Time is approximately 1 ½ hrs and designed for 2 riders on each Wave Runner , This tour is exclusive and in small groups only.

Surf and Turf Adventure

Full Description: Your party is met at the Cruise Ship dock and given the keys to brand new 4 x 4 Jeeps, (4 people per jeep). We head west through Phillipsberg and the southern side of the Island stopping for scenic views and pictures! Upon arriving at our marina in Simpson Bay we park our jeeps and begin our Aqua Safari Snorkel Excursion!

For the next 2 1/2 hours you are the Captain of your own small dinghies with center piece seats and steering wheels, they are fun and easy to manage. (2 people per boat). If any in your party are uncomfortable driving or riding in our 2 person Aqua safari Boat, feel free to ride in the guide boat with the licensed captain (8 maximum).

First we do a little cruise in the Simpson Bay Lagoon to ensure that all participants are comfortable on their watercraft. The area is home to a number of marina's with luxury yachts. We exit the lagoon, adjusting our speed to pass underneath the Marigot drawbridge. We then accelerate into a breathtaking excursion along the coast, with awesome sceneries of Marigot, capital of French Saint-Martin, as well as Friar's Bay, Happy Bay and Grand Case beaches!

Once arrived at the snorkeling destination, famous Creole Rock, we get to enjoy 45 minutes of snorkeling. On our way back, we take an even longer stroll through the Simpson Bay lagoon and now get to enjoy the magnificent view of waterfront villas and condos, before returning to the dock where after a fresh water shower we board our Jeeps to continue on!

Return to your Jeeps for the short drive to Maho Beach where we hope to see a couple of airplanes landing right over our heads! Its also a great spot for a casual lunch or a quick swim before heading to Marigot the capital of French St. Martin for a short stop to explore the market.

On the way back youll explore more of the island while hearing stories and legends from your guide. We end up back at the dock between 4:00 and 4:30pm!

THREE ISLAND SNORKELING ADVENTURE

Full Description: Awesome high quality 30ft offshore powerboats with powerful twin 225/250hp engines takes you on an exciting 3 stop snorkel adventure in style and comfort.

Our vessels have music, comfortable seating for 14 guests, an open cooler with water and soda's,and easy access from the swim platform and transom door. They are immaculately kept and we take great pride in our boats and the quality of service we provide.

We will firstly take you to the deserted Tintamar Island. This delightful location, is about four miles offshore and is a completely uninhabited Robinson Crusoe paradise island. It boasts deserted white sand beaches, sandstone cliffs, crystal clear waters, and is an ideal place to snorkel and spot turtles and rays.

The boat anchors in shallow waters, and its an easy step off the comfortable boarding ladders at the rear of the boat and onto the beach. Here you can sunbathe, and explore the island.

At your request, we will mix you a personal volcanic mud bath near the beach, said to take years off you, and in any case, great fun for all the family!. Daub it all over, take some funny photos, and then dash down to beach, dive in and wash off your personal mud pack. It feels great!

Your next stop at Pinal Island is a delight, and apart from snorkeling we do, there is a very cool Tiki beach bar at this exotic location with great food and drinks under swaying palms. This was formerly a tiny French penal colony, from where it derives it name, and its now an exquisite little beach hangout, with great views & fantastic swimming in waist deep water, especially nice for kids. There is also a small well stocked gift shop at the bar, which the owner leaves wide open each night with a sign please dont take anything. Some things must have changed since the days of the penal colony! One of our favorite little hideaways.

Then its off to Green Key for your final snorkel experience. This tiny spit of land, with an ancient lighthouse, has plenty marine life, and again, very clear visibility for snorkeling and getting up close to the tropical fish.

You will then blast back to Oyster Pond Marina, a very pretty little cove and mini marina area, for your return to your resort or the cruise terminal

ST THOMAS PARA SAILING

Full Description: Our parasailing captains are USCG licensed and experienced in parasailing to offer you the excitement of flying up to 450 ft. above the Caribbean sea.

Our Parasailing adventure includes up to 12 passengers and lasts approximately 1 hr. Spectacular views and the awesome sensation of floating above the water will last a lifetime.

Parasailing takes off from and returns to the deck of our parasailing boat. No need to get wet, unless you want to.

Tour duration: Up to 1 hr.

Aqua Safari & Snorkel Tour

Full Description: It all begins with free transportation from the Philipsburg Cruise Facilities to our location in Simpson Bay. Scenic views along the way. The tour guide starts out with a briefing, including security guidelines and practical information about the Natural Reserve. Guests are then equipped with snorkeling gear, waterproof bags and safety jackets before embarking on the vessel. The vessels, small dinghies with center piece seats and steering wheels, are fun and easy to manage. They carry two people maximum.

Catamaran Day Sail Charter

Full Description: The Celine was custom built by it's captain in South Africa. She is a 40' catamaran with a spacious deck and saloon. Upon completion he sailed her to St. Maarten where she has operated as a charter boat. She is currently docked at Skip Jack's Restaurant on the Simpson Bay Lagoon.

Neil Roebert is the captain and owner of the Celine. He was born in East London, South Africa. After finishing college in Pretoria he moved to Cape Town. He sailed from South Africa to the Caribbean in February '96. Neil has been chartering in St Maarten ever since

We will fetch you from Bobbies Marina at 10:15. Bobbies is near the cruise ship terminal in Phillipsburg. We have a 1 1/2 hour sail to Baie Longue or Long Bay where the famous La Samana Hotel is situated. We pass Little Bay, Cay Bay and then Simpson Bay on our trip to Long Bay. The sail downwind to Long Beach is a smooth ride with the wind and current.

Long Beach has as its name says a long white sandy beach. Nestled in the corner against the headland is the beautiful La Samana Hotel. We anchor close to the rock face and are in a very protected and calm area. The water here is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing.

Lunch will be at 12:30 which includes Seafood Paella, blackened Mahi Mahi, BBQ ribs, potato salad and garden salad. There is an open bar on-board all day with rum punch, whiskey, vodka, gin, beer, wine, bottled water and a variety of soft drinks.

We will sail to the French bridge for the 2:30 opening and be at the dock at Skip Jack's Restaurant at 3pm. I can arrange for a taxi to be there to take you back to Philipsburg for a little shopping before you return to your ship.

If you have a late departing cruise ship, we can extend the day and drop you off back at the cruise ship dock at 4:30 for an additional $10.00 per person

"FATCAT" POWER CATAMARAN CHARTER

Full Description: See as much of St Maarten as possible in 5 Hours!

We depart just a short 5 minute walk from the Cruise ship dock, no extra taxi cost!

The Caribbean Sun is a twin engine power catamaran , capable of high speed !

All trips include Captain and crew, snorkel, snacks, beer, soda, water, and and our famous rum punch!

We zoom you to the 1st of 2 snorkel stops, then stop at a beautiful white sand beach for our famous St Maarten BBQ lunch of ribs and chicken!

Then its an exhilarating high speed run back to Philipsburg (the Dutch capital) where you have your choice of being left at either the Dock or our beach club where you may enjoy the rest of your day on the beach, where you may like to rent one of our jet skis, try our Para sailing, or vist the town for more shopping!

3 BEACH SNORKEL TOUR, CORAL WORLD and ISLAND ADVENTURE

Full Description: After picking you and your party up at your dock in our air condition van or open air safari bus, stocked with cold water and island fruit punch.

We head up and over the mountain, making various stops along the way for you to get out and take spectacular pictures!

This tour has it All!

We start the day off with a snorkel stop at Coki Beach where you will be surround by hundreds of tropical fish as soon as you hit the water, after that we will visit Coral World where we will see the exotic exhibits of marine life they have to offer.

Next its off to Secret Harbor or Hull Bay depending on the seas.

Then we will tour the island heading up to one of the highest points of St Thomas... The Botanical Gardens in a tropical setting, and their world famous down island view.

To top it all off we will spend the rest of the day having a deli style lunch and relaxing at Magens Bay Beach rated one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world.

We can then return you to the cruise ship dock, or drop you off in town for shopping!

St Maarten Island Tour

Full Description: This is our "Normal" Tour, we can customize as you desire for Private Tours, more shopping, or more beach, its up to you!

Our Island tour departs the cruise terminal, first stopping at Rima were guest can get an assortment of beach, resort wear and souvenirs. Rima is the biggest of its kind in the Caribbean and guest will find the prices are the very best. This first stop will be for thirty minutes.

The tour will then continue along the Great salt pond in the direction of Simpson Bay and driving along side the little bay beach, at this point guests can get a photo of there cruise line and the magnificent view of great Bay harbor.

Our next stop will be the famous lookout point locally known as Harold Jack, this stop permits guest a panoramic view of Simpson Bay lagoon with its many yachts and sail boats and the neighboring islands of Saba and St.Eustatias.

The tour then continues west through Simpson bay, Maho, Mullet bay, Cupecoy before crossing the french side of the island.

Once on the french side we will drive through terre basses, here you'll find some of the most expensive homes and villas on the island which are often times host to many a famous person. The bus then stops in Marigot the french capital for forty five minutes, here guest can visit the many shops, market or even visit the Fort Louis if able to maneuver the 90 steps up to the fort.

After leaving Marigot we then head to Orient beach along the perimeter road, and driving through the restaurant village of Grand Case. Once at the beach guests can have lunch, swim or do some activities if so desired. Time at the beach Would be one hour thirty minutes. the tour will then continue through orleans quarter and terminate at the terminal approximately thirty minutes there after.

The entire tour will be narrated, relevant historical info as well as present day info will be disseminated right through the tour.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in "swimming pool-like conditions".

The excursion is in two sessions, first with the help of a flip chart, we will explain to you a certain amount of theory and we will make sure that you understand the important rules of diving. The lesson will be short and concise, designed to inform you but not to confuse you.

After the theory and before starting the real 40-ft dive, you will practice waist deep in near pool-like conditions along the shore. You will hand feed the fish as you embark on your guided dive through the coral reef. Your air gauge will be carefully monitored, to ensure that you don't get low on air. The dive will last about 40 minutes, depending on your comfort level. You will be surprised by how quickly you will relax!

The whole tour is about 2 1/2 hours, not including travel time of about 30 minutes each way, or about 3 1/2 hours total

This diving experience is a guided tour of one of the two reef systems right from the beach, with virtually no swim to either reef. Many of our divers tell us it is as good as - if not better than - many boat dives and it is much cheaper! We guarantee small groups and personal service!

The maximum depth of our beach dives is 55 ft. There is a great selection of reef fish at both reefs. It's a perfect spot for newly certified divers or divers that are a little rusty.

If one of your group is doing the discover diving excursion you may dive with them, but your dive will be limited to the shallower 40 reef.

There will be a certified dive master on all dive trips as well as a snorkel master for the snorkelers, and we will never mix divers with snorkelers unless it is with your group. When we reach the shallower snorkel spot, the divers continue on for deeper water! unless the snorkelers would prefer to snorkel over top of the divers for a great experience !

GUIDED KAYAK SNORKEL and ISLAND TOUR

Full Description: ISLAND and GUIDED KAYAK SNORKEL TOUR
After picking you and your party up at your dock we head up and over the mountain, making a stop along the way for you to get out and take spectacular pictures!

As we climb the mountain in our open air safari bus, you will be able to see the Caribbean side of the island, including breath taking views of Charlotte Amalie and your ship laying in port . On a clear day you can even see the Islands of Culebra, Vieques and Puerto Rico.

As we continue up and over to the Atlantic side, known as the North Side , the first you will notice is the dramatic change in the vegetation and temperature. While the south side is dry and warmer, the north side is dense with tropical rain-forest vegetation and much cooler!

We make a stop at the famous Sir Francis Drakes seat where you will enjoy the same spectacular view down island legend has it that Sir Francis Drake enjoyed while scouting for sailing vessels coming up the channel to attack.

You will see Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Little Tobago, Big Tobago, St. Johns and Hans Lollie and you will get your view of Magens Bay Beach, ranked the 6th best beach in the world.

Then we continue down the mountain through the lush tropical rainforest to Hull Bay, The islands best kept secret where no other cruise ship charters operate and without a doubt the best snorkeling around with untouched virgin reefs

When you get on our 2 person inflatable kayaks you will notice 2 things, one, how comfortable they are compared to the hard bottom plastic kayaks and two, how stable and forgiving they are to the non-experienced kayaker, because they are almost impossible to turn over. So climb aboard for a great day. You will glide gently across the water and gaze at the beauty of the island from a different perspective. After about 20 minutes we will anchor in about 12 feet of water where you will don your snorkel gear and experience the awe of the underwater world. Colorful parrot fish and coral reefs in all its wonder. Your guide will point out things of interest and explain what you are looking at.

Then we paddle a short distance for our next snorkel stop at an entirely different reef. Once we return to the beach we have time for relaxation on the beach or you may wish to visit our restaurant before boarding our safari bus for departure.

As we leave Hull Bay we have a choice of two destinations, for those wanting to return to town we begin the climb up the mountain, past Sir Francis Drakes chair, heading back over to the south side and down the mountain, we can drop you off at your ship or you may choose to be dropped off on main street at the Historical famous warehouse district for duty free shopping.

If you choose to visit Coki Beach we continue running along and transverse down the north side of the mountain, from various angles and heights you will see Magans Bay and our world famous Mahogany Run Golf Course with its Internationally renowned Devils Triangle the courses breath taking signature trio of holes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

We then arrive at the most famous beach on the Island Coki Beach and Coral World, where you can take a walk on the beach. Or you may wish to visit to Coral World, maybe a resort shore dive or just relax on the beach and have a nice swim in crystal clear water. Transportation back to town can be obtained for $10.00 dollars.

COMBO DIVE/SNORKEL BOAT ADVENTURE

Full Description: This is a great excursion , where you have a mixture of divers and snorkelers!

We depart by boat a short 5 minute walk from the cruise ship dock by boat. Destination of this excursion is either the reef around Fort Amsterdam Peninsula in Little Bay or Shipwreck Cove in Cay Bay.

There we do a shallow one tank dive, and the rest can snorkel! We also offer a Discover dive to those who would like to try diving!

We have a spacious and comfortable 50 ft boat awaiting you. The boat features a platform, fresh water rinse, bar, shaded area & restroom

Snuba divers breathe underwater by means of a 20 ft air line which is connected to a standard scuba tank. The tank is mounted on a raft on the surface. It follows your every move. The air line allows you to tour underwater near the bottom, at mid-water or on the surface, depending on your level of comfort. There is no heavy diving gear.

Every tour is guided by a diving professional. Your guide will familiarize you with the Snuba equipment you will be using and will briefly describe what you can expect in the water.

We make 2 stops along the Fort Amsterdam peninsula in Little Bay, Snuba at one and snorkel at the other!

1 group starts out with snuba over 1 portion of the site, while the other half snorkels over the other portion. Then the groups rotate.
